  Recommended Grant Oversight Procedures

  The National Grant Oversight Corp. (NGOC) provides governments, nonprofits, and corporations with grant oversight solutions that enhance transparency and accountability.

The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) is known as "the investigative arm of Congress" and "the congressional watchdog." GAO supports the Congress in meeting its constitutional responsibilities and helps improve the performance and accountability of the federal government for the benefit of the American people.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 includes $4 billion in Department of Justice (DOJ) grant funding to enhance state, local, and tribal law enforcement; to combat violence against women; to fight Internet crimes against children; and to provide support to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’s Project Gunrunner.

Federal Audit Executive Council: Purpose is to discuss and coordinate issues affecting the Federal audit community with special emphasis on audit policy and operations of common interest to Federal Audit Executive Council (FAEC) members

Council on the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE): primary responsibilities, to the American public, are to detect and prevent fraud, waste, abuse, and violations of law and to promote economy, efficiency and Efficiency in the operations of the Federal Government.
